This years host for the Annual General Meeting (AGM 2018) was CNC Automation. The meeting took place in Canada. On weekend the members and partners explored Montreal city, a guided culinary tour and a wine tasting were highlights.
On the next two days the official meeting took place. According to the bylaws the COMBOIS board members have to be elected every year. During this year’s Annual General Meeting Robin Jack (W & R Jack Ltd., New Zealand) resigned from the position as COMBOIS Vice President, which he had held for the past 5 years. The members elected a new board: President Mats Mared (Mared Industrial Engineering AB,Sweden) and Vice President Andrew Legault (CNC Automation, Canada) are re-elected. Jolanda de Groot (De Groot Bewerkingsmachines BV, Netherlands) is elected as the incoming second Vice President. The new board thanks all delegates for their confidence. (from left to right: A. As usual the members exchanged the experiences with different manufacturers, reported about their market situations and compared data sheets with figures of their individual companies.
Highlights of the Agenda
CNC Automation welcomed the members in their show room. The company Sun-Spot presented the paint drying system, which is much faster than convection drying. See more on their website. A. Legault and his team presented also two virtual factory tours:

Future meetings
During the meeting the members discussed amongst other topics, how they deal with big projects. All members agreed, that the development of service activities will be more and more important in the different markets. As a result the next Service Meeting will be held in April 2018 with Service Managers and the General Managers/Owner of the COMBOIS members. Jolanda and Ruud de Groot from our member of the Netherlands invited to the next AGM in September 2019.
