The President Andrew Legault welcomes the members to the AGM 2023 – first time since his election that it takes place in person. He emphasises how happy he is and how important the personal exchange is. Host Dr. Peter Handl (Handl Maschinen GesmbH & CoKG) is also very happy to welcome the members in Austria.

According to the bylaws the board members must be elected every year. The board is asked by the delegates whether they would continue their work. President and Vice Presidents are willing to continue. All members vote for Andrew Legault (CNC Automation, Canada) as President, Richard Bealing (W & R Jack Ltd, New Zealand) and Dr. Peter Handl (Handl Maschinen GesmbH & CoKG, Austria) as Vice Presidents. All three accept the vote. The board thanks all delegates for their confidence.

As usual the members exchanged the experiences with different manufacturers, reported about their market situations and compared data sheets with figures of their individual companies.

Highlight of the Program

The members visit Stora Enso Ybbs plant (sawmill and CLT production) – a customer of Handl Maschinen GesmbH & CoKG – they are impressed by the installed equipment. All members are happy to have enough time to talk about global developments in the field of wooden house fabrication, CLT production etc. and to share their experiences.

President A. Legault is happy how the meeting went. He feels an enthusiasm among the members for a lively organisation. With the new member from Brazil, the automation working group and the planned tech tour in March, many steps have been taken on this path.
