Members of COMBOIS met in May after the XYLEXPO fair for the Service Meeting in Milan, Italy. In order to manage the ever extending demand of qualified service, the meetings of service managers is the right platform to build programs in a team effort for service concepts and innovative service products.

During the meeting the continuous improvement of the member’s service department and key performance indicators were reported. Lively discussions about new ways of doing service business, the innovations and opportunities in the fields of parts, service, technical support, education and rebuilding machines took place. Three external speakers presented latest technical developments.

Ron Klauss, Co-Owner at RP2industrial B.V. (www.rp2.nl), gave an overview about all current 3D printing technologies. Examples of actual industrial applications of 3D printing, from aerospace to building and home interior were given. Possibilities for COMBOIS members were discussed.

Alberto Stillo, Managing Director at I2 Industrial Innovation, explained the Remote Service System. A live demonstration showed the possibilities of Remote Interaction, Condition Based Maintenance, Product Technical Documentation, Training and Multimedia Tools.

The features of connection service to the business, scheduling and optimization, apps for collaboration with employees, managing inventory and creating reports were explained.
