In 2024, COMBOIS members gathered in Japan for the Annual General Meeting, combining strategic discussions with in-depth insights into the Japanese timber construction market. The meeting provided a strong framework for sharing perspectives on industry trends, cooperation opportunities, and international business activities.

The program featured -besides the visit of Fuso in Sakurai City- exclusive visits to selected Japanese manufacturers in Nara, the steal frame house company Sekisui Heim and Nara Mokken, a traditional Japanese house producer.  Members gained valuable insights into highly automated timber construction processes, including a complete machinery line from Miyagawa, a leading supplier of fully automated beam and post processing solutions for Japanese housing.

Complementing the business agenda, the social program offered a concise cultural experience, with guided walks along historic sites in Sakurai City, in the Nara region and a visit to Nara Park, providing an ideal setting for informal networking.

The AGM in Japan once again demonstrated the strength of the COMBOIS network in combining technical excellence, market expertise, and global partnership. President A. Legault thanked the hosts Monica and Masato Kuwahara for their wonderful hospitality and for making the COMBOIS group feel very welcome among friends.
