The Annual General Meeting took place in Dresden, Germany from 28 September to 2 October hosted by the founding member company Heinrich KUPER GmbH & Co. KG. On weekend the COMBOIS group was guided through the Historic city center, visited the Frauenkirche and many other famous places.  With the extraordinary fun sightseeing tour with the wellknown “Trabi” we discovered all highlights of the old town and the new town of Dresden.

During the meeting Fritz Peine, Managing Director of KUPER, retired from the position of COMBOIS President which he had held for the past 7 years. By unanimous resolution Mr.Peine has been appointed as Honorary President in recognition of his many years as Vice-President and President and with deepest gratitude for his countless contributions to the COMBOIS association.

A new board was elected: Mats Mared (Mared J. AB Ingenjörsfirman,Sweden) was elected as the incoming President, Jesper Nicholaisen (Nicholaisen A/S, Denmark) was re-confirmed as Vice President and Robin Jack (W & R Jack Ltd., New Zealand) was elected as the second Vice President.

The COMBOIS group visited Hellerauer Werkstätten – a KUPER customer since many years.  The company is one of the world’s leading providers of interior furnishings for houses, yachts and corporate spaces since its reprivatisation in 1992. The Hellerauer Werkstätten employs some 240 people at its headquarters in Dresden, with a further 50 working at offices in Russia, France, the UK, Switzerland, for the Asia-Pacific Region and the United Arab Emirates.

Interesting insights gave the open and transparent architecture of “Die Gläserne Manufaktur” (The Transparent Factory) – built in 2001 for the production of the Volkswagen’s luxury Phaeton model.
